Lead - Broking & Portfolio Management

A financial services business is establishing an insurance broking operation based in Maun and is seeking an experienced insurance professional to lead it from the ground up.

The role

Reporting to the Board, you will run the broking business day to day. You will build relationships with insurers, lead placement and claims advocacy for clients, oversee the handling of client premiums, and make sure the business meets all regulatory and AML/CFT obligations.

Requirements

• A Diploma or higher in Insurance, Risk Management or Business Management/Administration
• At least 5 years in a managerial position in the insurance industry or a regulatory environment
• Associate membership of an insurance institute (e.g. AIIB, ACII, AIISA)
• A clean record suitable for regulatory fit-and-proper vetting
• Based in Maun, or willing to relocate

Advantageous

Broking experience, a track record of placing commercial risks in Botswana, and a degree or fellowship in insurance.
